Our Mobile Mapping System is the most sophisticated and accurate method in the world for capturing road data used for navigation applications. The first system to fully integrate a multi-dimensional, 360-degree, digital view of the road, our Mobile Mapping System introduces an unprecedented level of quality, detail, and precision at an exceptional speed. The result is an accurate and rich combination of content for both portable and in-car navigation systems that will help users quickly find destinations and navigate safely through complex road conditions.

Our unique combination of Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite measurements and an inertial navigation system (INS) allows us to provide the highest level of detail and accuracy – often within one meter – with unprecedented efficiency. The system utilizes a series of high-resolution digital cameras attached to a mobile van to capture detailed road data, such as traffic restrictions, lane counts, and speed limits, as well as images of streets, road signs, storefronts, and complex intersections.

Innovative video processing software combines the captured images and route data into a uniform display for Geographic Information System (GIS), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), or other registration system applications, allowing the fastest and most precise recording of coordinates at specific, useful points along roadways. This highly automated method speeds the capture and processing of map data, allowing us to quickly deliver up-to-date information to our clients, and to end users.
